Essie Hwahyoo Joh is a Korean-Canadian freelance creative based in Seoul, specializing in creative production and casting direction.
She is the founder of model agency INTER-Agency (est. 2023) and currently leads the new Women’s Division at East Casting.
A multidisciplinary creative fueled by curiosity, Essie approaches projects using visual research, cultural insight, and thoughtful curation to shape concepts from idea to execution. Her practice spans creative production, project management, assistant direction, casting & scouting, visual research, creative direction, and movement direction.
